Uses computer vision and machine learning to identify and attack targets independently. Immune to all RF jamming and communications disruption. The capability now reaches the low-cost tier through retrofit autonomy modules: an add-on camera and edge-computing board bolted to an existing FPV airframe performs automated target detection, operator-designated lock-on and terminal-phase tracking, so the drone completes the last few hundred metres of its attack on its own if the video or control link is jammed or cut. That splits the engagement problem in two — jamming still severs the operator's picture, but no longer prevents impact — and it pushes the defensive burden onto hard-kill, obscurants and vision-defeating measures rather than electronic warfare.

Symmetric counter to your own ISR and strike drones; an emerging frontline reality in Ukraine and the Middle East. A turbojet-powered class exceeding 600 km/h is now in combat testing, developed specifically to close the speed gap with jet-powered one-way-attack drones that propeller-driven interceptors (capped around 300 km/h) cannot catch; these airframes trade endurance and payload for velocity and rate of climb to reach high, fast targets.

Reinforced airframe, terminal AI vision or proportional-navigation guidance, no explosive train — making it cheaper, exportable without munitions licensing, and harder to detect by thermal/EOD sensors.
